The UNI CEI EN ISO 13485 standard defines specific requirements for a quality management system in the medical sector. It incorporates elements of ISO 9001 and includes requirements for medical devices to ensure they are safe, effective, compliant with regulations, and meet the needs of professionals and patients in clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
The UNI EN ISO 14001 standard defines the requirements for an environmental management system for environmental sustainability. This standard is based on continuous improvement and the PDCA cycle (designed to improve processes and ensure efficient, ongoing quality), tools aimed at continuously enhancing the environmental management system through the implementation of a High Level Structure (HLS) common to all new ISO standards.
